Teroldego Rotaliano PDO Rosso (or Rubino) is intense ruby red, at times with purplish rims; the nose reveals fragrances of ripe fruit, with hints of blueberry, prune and blackcurrant and spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg; it is full-bodied, full, harmonious and slightly bitter on the palate, with a slightly almondy flavour and pleasantly tannic. It can display Superiore and Superiore Riserva on the label. Teroldego Rotaliano PDO Rosato (or Kretzer) varies from intense pink to garnet red; the nose offers fragrances of flowers and violet which alternate with sweet fresh fruit and delicately spicy notes; it is fresh and fruity on the palate, with pleasantly soft, slightly bitter tannins and a light almondy flavour.
