The production area of Scilla PGI is within the entire territory of the municipality of Scilla in the Province of Reggio Calabria, in the Calabria region.
Description of product typologies
Scilla PGI Rosso is deep red; the nose reveals a wide range of fragrances, based on the territory and grape varieties used, ranging from mixed berries to marasca cherry and ripe plum, and from liquorice to cocoa and pepper; it is warm, ample and complex on the palate, with good structure and long persistence. Scilla PGI Rosato is pink, varying in intensity; the nose offers a range of aromas from small berries to notes of Freisa and wild rose, with minerally hints and grassy notes; it is fresh, very fruit and extremely persistent on the palate. Scilla PGI Novello is red, varying in intensity; the nose displays strong fruity notes; it is pleasant, harmonious and balanced on the palate, with the typical aromas of the grape varieties used.
