Description of product typologies
Moscato di Trani PDO Dolce Naturale Bianco ranges from bright hay-yellow to golden yellow; the nose is characteristic, offering the typical aroma of the Moscato grape variety, which blends with the fruitiness and spiciness; it is sweet and warm on the palate, not aggressive, and is complex due to the development of the flavours during the maturation process. Moscato di Trani PDO Liquoroso is bright golden yellow with amber hues; the nose displays a wide range of primary fragrances that are joined by honey and buttery notes, with strong hints of fruit jam and aromas of yellow flowers such as acacia and broom, leading to sensations of dried rose petals in particular; the flavour reveals hints of tropical fruit, notes of citrus salt, and spicy aromas of vanilla, star anise and white chocolate, with a light and enjoyable almondy finish. Grapes destined for the production of Moscato di Trani PDO Dolce Naturale Bianco wines can be dried on the vines or on matting; concentrated or cold-concentrated must may be used in the production of Moscato di Trani PDO Liquoroso wine. Moscato di Trani PDO Dolce Naturale Bianco cannot be released for consumption before March 1st of the year following that in which the grapes were produced, while Moscato di Trani PDO Liquoroso wine can be released for consumption after November 1st of the year following that of the grape harvest.
