Colline Teramane Montepulciano d’Abruzzo PDO is intense ruby-red in colour with light purple hues that tend towards garnet with aging; the nose offers fragrances of red fruit and spices which blend together with notes of tobacco and leather; it is full, warm and harmonious on the palate, with uncovered tannins. It can display Riserva on the label. Colline Teramane Montepulciano d’Abruzzo PDO wines must have been aged for 1 year, with at least 2 months maturing in bottles; the aging period commences November 1st of the year in which the grapes were produced. Colline Teramane Montepulciano d’Abruzzo PDO Riserva wine must be aged for at least 3 years, commencing November 1st of the year in which the grapes were produced.
