It can display Riserva on the label. The wine must be aged for a mandatory period of 35 months (47 for Riserva wines), of which 24 months must be in wood (36 for Riserva), commencing November 1st of the year in which the grapes were harvested. The Gattinara PDO designation can be followed by Vigna (Vineyard) with the relative toponym.
