Production Area
The production area of Cellatica PDO is within the territory of the municipalities of Rodengo Saiano, Gussago, Cellatica, Collebeato and Brescia, in the Province of Brescia, in the Lombardy region.
Description of product typologies
Cellatica PDO is ruby red; the nose is rich with varietal fragrances, from fresh fruit to berries and aromatic herbs; it is fresh and sapid on the palate, with slightly spicy sensations and a delicate almondy aftertaste. It can display Superiore on the label if it is released for consumption after September 30th of the year following that in which the grapes were harvested. Grapes destined for the vinification of Cellatica PDO must ensure a minimum natural alcohol level of 10.5 % vol.; 12% vol. for Cellatica PDO Superiore (at the moment it is released for consumption).
