Description of product typologies
Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva PDO is straw-yellow with evident greenish reflections; the nose displays decisive fragrances of hawthorn flowers and wild flowers, followed by a fresh fruitiness of peach, apple and faint hints of citrus fruit; it is sapid and smooth on the palate, with a finish characterised by a bitter-almondy aftertaste. Classico can be displayed on the label. Before being released for consumption, Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva PDO must have undergone a minimum ageing period of at least 18 months, of which 6 months must be in the bottle. The ageing period commences on December 1st of the year in which the grapes were produced.
