Red: 35-60% Uva di Troia (locally known as Sumarello), Barbera, 25-35% Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera di Brindisi, max. 10-30% Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano and/or Malvasia Bianca and/or Lunga and/or Bombino Bianco.
Description of product typologies
Cacc’e mmitte di Lucera PDO is intense ruby-red in colour; the nose is sweet with fruits of the forest and black cherry, with a layer of mineral notes and hues of quinine cordial and graphite; it is fresh and smooth on the palate, with a decisive and sapid tannic structure. Grapes destined for vinification must ensure a minimum natural alcohol level of 11,5%. The vinification process must take place within the production area.The grape production year must be indicated on the bottles and any other recipients containing Cacc’e mmitte di Lucera PDO wine.
