The production area of Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera PDO is within the territory of the municipalities of Lucera, Troia and Biccari in the Province of Foggia, in the Apulia region.
Description of product typologies
Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera PDO is an intense ruby-red wine; the nose reveals sweet berries and black cherry on a faint background of mineral notes, with hues of quinine cordial and graphite; it is fresh and smooth on the palate, with a decisive and sapid tannic structure. Grapes destined for vinification must ensure a minimum natural alcohol level of 11.5% vol. The vinification process must take place within the production area.

It is mandatory for the grape production year to be indicated on the labels of all Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera PDO wines.
