Description of product typologies
Bianco di Pitigliano PDO Bianco is straw-yellow, varying in intensity; aromas of ripe fruit notes develop on the nose; it is full-bodied, harmonious and extremely alcoholic on the palate, with a distinct character. Superiore may be displayed on the label if the wine is produced with grapes that ensure a natural alcohol content of no less than 12%. Bianco di Pitigliano PDO Spumante is straw-yellow with greenish reflections, varying in intensity, with a thin and consistent perlage; it is delicately fruity and fresh on the nose, with hints of citrus and yeasts; it is dry and acidulous on the palate, with a slightly bitter and persistent bottom. Bianco di Pitigliano PDO Vin Santo ranges from straw-yellow to amber or even brown; the nose is ethereal and delicate; the flavour varies from dry to sweet, velvety with a more pronounced roundness for the semi-sweet wine. The vinification of the grapes must be carried out within the delimited territory.
