Description of product typologies
Aleatico di Gradoli PDO Rosso is garnet-red with purple hues; it is delicately aromatic, fruity and characteristic on the nose; on the palate it is mellow and velvety with notes of fresh fruit. Aleatico di Gradoli PDO Passito is ruby-red, at times with purple reflections; on the nose it is fruity, delicately aromatic and characteristic; it is sweet and velvety on the palate, with notes of ripe fruit. Aleatico di Gradoli PDO Liquoroso is a red wine that is garnet-red; it offers a fragrance of sour cherry liqueur and fresh fruit; on the palate it is sweet and warm, with an almond undertone. Riserva can be displayed on the label. Aleatico di Gradoli PDO Liquoroso and Aleatico di Gradoli PDO Liquoroso Riserva must be obtained through alcoholization, in accordance with the regulations in force. Before being released for consumption, the wine must have undergone an ageing period of at least 6 months, commencing from the date of alcoholization. In the case of Liquoroso Riserva, the ageing period is at least 2 years commencing from the date of alcoholization, in oak barrels with a maximum capacity of 250 litres, as well as further ageing in the bottle for at least 1 year.
