Description of product typologies
Albugnano PDO Rosso is ruby-red to varying degrees of garnet-red in colour; it exhibits delicate fragrances on the nose, ranging from raspberry to wild strawberry and complimented by light floral and spicy notes, which become more complex if the wine is aged in oak barrels; it is dry on the palate, with good body and a slightly tannic vein, full, with balsamic hints and a long and persistent finish. It can display Superiore on the label if it has undergone a minimum ageing period of one year, 6 months of which must be in oak barrels, commencing January 1st of the year following that in which the grapes were produced. Albugnano PDO Rosé is pink to cherry-red in colour; it displays a rich fragrance that is decisively fruity, delicate and pleasing on the nose, sometimes tending towards vinous; on the palate it is dry or slightly sweet, lively and sometimes vinous.
