The production area of Strevi PDO is within the entire territory of the Municipality of Strevi in the Province of Alessandria, in the Piedmont region.

Description of product typologies
Strevi PDO has a golden yellow colour, varying in intensity and with amber highlights; the nose reveals fragrances ranging from flowers to fresh fruit and dried fruit to honey; it is sweet, mellow and aromatic on the palate, with a predominance of ripe fruit. If the wine is preserved in wooden recipients it is possible to determine slight woody hints in the flavour. Grapes destined for the vinification of Strevi PDO wine must have been sun-dried gradually outdoors in crates or on trellises; in closed and ventilated environments; in air-conditioned rooms without heating the grapes or ambient. At the moment of harvesting, the grapes must ensure a minimum natural alcohol level of 12%.Strevi PDO wine can only be made available for consumption after it has been matured and aged for a minimum period of two years, commencing October 1st of the year in which the grapes were produced.The vinification, maturing, mandatory aging and bottling processes must take place within the territory of the Municipality of Strevi and the bordering municipalities of Acqui Terme, Cassine, Morsasco, Orsara Bormida, Ricaldone, Rivalta Bormida and Visone.
