White, red and rosé wines with the Colline Savonesi PGI must be obtained from grapes originating from vineyards, in a business environment, with one or more red/white grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the concerned area.
Description of product typologies
Colline Savonesi PGI Bianco, alone or with specification of grape variety, is straw-yellow in colour, varying in depth; in the more structured wines, the floral and fruity notes are accompanied by smooth and sweet tones; the fruity palate creates freshness and sapidity. It can also be a Semi-Sparkling wine. Colline Savonesi PGI Rosso, alone or with specification of grape variety, is ruby-red in colour, varying in intensity; the nose offers tones of red fruit, which are supported by hints of delicate flowers; it is fresh and full-bodied on the palate, with fruity reminiscences. It can also be a Semi-Sparkling wine. Colline Savonesi PGI Rosé, alone or with specification of grape variety, is pink in colour; it displays delicate fragrances which lead to fresh fruit and aromatic herbs; it is dry, harmonious and fresh on the palate. Colline Savonesi PGI Passito, alone or with specification of grape variety, is golden yellow in colour; it displays intense floral and fruity notes on the nose and is fairly persistent; the palate is balanced with a persistent aftertaste. Colline Savonesi PGI Novello, alone or with specification of grape variety, is ruby-red colour, varying in depth; the nose is intensely vinous; it is fresh and balanced on the palate.
Grape variety specifications
The Colline Savonesi PGI, with the specification of one of the grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the Liguria region, is reserved for wines that are obtained from grapes originating from vineyard compounds, in a business environment, for at least 85% of the corresponding grape variety. Non-aromatic grapes similar in colour and originating from other grape varieties suitable for cultivation in the concerned area, max. 15%, can contribute, pure or combined, to the production of the above-mentioned musts and wines. Colline Savonesi PGI wines specifying the grape varieties Lumassina or Buzzetto/Mataosso synonyms can also be produced as Semi-Sparkling wines.Colline Savonesi PGI wines with specification of grape variety must display the organoleptic properties of the grape variety, as well as the indicated characteristics for the typology of wine.
