Description of product typologies

Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto PDO produced as Frizzante or Spumante wine is straw yellow in colour; it is delicate on the nose, with fruity fragrances of apple, pomegranate, hazelnut and hawthorn flowers; it is harmonious and pleasantly dry on the palate, with a fresh, discreet persistence thanks to a note of acidity. Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto PDO wines can display Superiore or Superiore with the Classico specification on the label. Colli Bolognesi Classico Pignoletto PDO wines can only be made available for consumption after April 1st of the year following that in which the grapes were produced, while the date for the Superiore Classico version is October 4th, following 2 months of maturation in the bottle.
